Week 2, Virtual introductions
Between now and 5 p.m. Friday, January 16, enter a comment on this post. In your comment, briefly introduce yourself: your full name, your job (currently or the one you’d like in the future), your program in school, and anything else you would like your instructor and classmates to know about you. Hi. My name is Joel Schwartz. I currently work two jobs while attending Globe full time. I am recently engaged to the love of my life. Together my fiancée, Rachel Korb, and another business partner of ours own an event center called Creative Farming Studios in Fall Creek, WI. My intention is to use the education I am receiving at Globe to increase the success of our company.
Hi my name is Houa Xiong. This is my second quarter at Globe University. I am going for my bachelor degree of science in Business Management with the emphasis in marketing. Before coming to Globe, I attend WTC down in La Crosse with a major in graphic design. I haven’t adjusted fully to my life here because I have been living in La Crosse for 12 years. After completing my degree I want to start my own business and hope to succeed one day.
As you may already know my name is Ramesh Girdhari. I am currently enrolled in the accounting program here at Globe University. I transferred here from Viterbo University, and am currently doing an internship at Radix Laboratories, a Pharmaceutical manufacturer. I am aspiring to become a CPA and start up my own practice some day as well as take over the family business. Once these goals have been met I plan to open up a fast food Indian restaurant, I was thinking Curry in a Hurry, and yes I know the name is already taken, but it is not franchised yet. Other than that my father comes from Guyana, South America, and is currently the CEO of Radix Laboratories here in Eau Claire, WI. My Mother is from West Salem, Wisconsin, and is currently an NPO at Luther Midelfort here. I have one brother who is doctorate of medicine and a master of surgery and is currently living in Ecuador practicing rural medicine. My sister is living in Manhattan and is currently practicing Securities and Exchange International Law. If anyone has any other questions on me or my family feel free to ask. I am always willing to extend a hand to help out people who are in need.
Hey!! I'm Pascale D'Huyvetter and am majoring in Accounting. So far I like it a lot so I am hoping it will stay that way. I am originally from Osseo, WI but now live up here in Eau Claire. I went to UMD for my freshman year but then transferred here. I also come from a rather large family, I have 3 brothers and 4 sisters. I am the second oldest, so I guess I am "supposed" to be a good role model for my younger siblings. My parents own a organic dairy and crop farm, so that's where I grew up.However, I am about the farthest thing away from being a farm girl. In my spare time I like to run, take pictures, and paint. I also love all kinds of music. Lastly, my fave. person in the class happens to be RAM G. I'm looking forward to this class!!!
Hi, my name is Laurie Humbert. This is my second quarter at Globe. I live in Bloomer. I am a full time mother of 5 along with being a full time student. I am in the medical assistant program and hope to graduate in December. My oldest daughter is also a student here at Globe in the vet tech program.
Hello, my name is Angi and this is my second quarter here at Globe. I am enrolled in the Paralegal program but am not sure that's what I want to do yet. I live in Osseo but am originally from the small town of Elk Mound. I currently have an Associate's in Supervisory/Management and also an Associate's in Massage Therapy and Bodywork. I am the mother of two teenage girls and work part-time from home and part-time at the EC county courthouse.
Hey everybody, my name is Travis Kaeding. This is my second quarter at Globe and I'm majoring in Business Administration. This will be my third university that I have attened! I'm looking forward to learning as much as possible during our time together. I believe that I have a lot to learn!
Hello! My name is Jamie Westby. I just graduated from CVTC with an associate degree in marketing, so this is my first semester at Globe; I intend to get a bachelors degree in business administration. I have been a nanny for three children in Fall Creek for the last year and a half. When I’m done with school I have no idea where life will take me! Other than this I am a pretty laid back person: I enjoy hanging out with friends, fishing, camping, playing volleyball, and pretty much anything outside!
Hello. My name is Theresa Meinke. I am a second quarter Medical Assistant student and work part time at a group home in Fall Creek for Aurora Community Services. I graduated from Memorial in '04, and before I came to Globe, I was going to CVTC for Radiology Tech, which didn't work out. I have one sister who is a Freshman at Memorial. My dad is retired Air Force and Mom's a "home maker". I'm originally from Northern Michigan, and came here by route of Ohio and Illinois. Anything else you want to know, feel free to ask me.
Hi. My name is Keri Bradford. This is my third quarter at Globe. At my age, I hope to be a medical assistant soon. I hope to go on to RN later, but I'm working on one thing at a time. My only job right now is being a mom. I have two grown sons, one of which is going to Globe also, and one very spoiled daughter: Josh is 27, Jake is 20 and Jenna is 10. I've lived in Eau Claire all my life, but don't plan to stay. My boyfriend of 14 years, Joe, works at Luther Hospital and that is sort of what made me start thinking about a career in the medical field.
Hello everyone,
My name is Cassie. I am originally from Eau Claire, but have lived in various places in Wisconsin. I currently live south of Thorp, and it’s a long drive to the middle of nowhere. This is my second quarter at Globe. I am attending school to become a Medical Assistant. I would like to further my education in the future. I currently have two cats, three dogs and seven horses. I ride, train and show horses. I have a few horses coming in for training this spring, so it should be a busy year. In the near future, I hope to move someplace where it doesn’t get below zero in the winter.
Hello! My name is Michele Thibedeau and this is my second quarter at Globe University. I am enrolled part time in the Medical Assistant program and my goal is to secure a position as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative after graduation. It has been fourteen years since I have been in college, in fact I was asked why I have decided to come back at the age of thirtynine and the reason is because I became widowed in February 2008 and am now raising our 5 children on my own. I am striving to set a good example for my family.
Hello my name is Peggy herold. I am currently employed at Mega Foods. I am taking 18 credits this semester at Globe University. I hope to have my associate degree in September. I was attending CVTC for the last seven semesters. I can not wait to finish my education. I am married with four children who motivate me everyday.
Hi. My name is Travis Fogelberg and I am in the Business Admisistration program. I am from Shell Lake and that is where I graduated from. I work in the mornings at Menards in the receiving department. I love to do all sorts of outdoor activities. Depending on the season, I will either but hunting or fishing. I also like to play sports. I have been playing hockey for 16 years and continue to play.
Hi my name is Ashley Haas. I live in Osseo, and I work at the McDonald's there. I am going to globe for the medical administrative program. My hobbies include reading and music. After school I plan on finding a good job in the area.
My name is Kim Nipe and I currently am not working. I worked for eight years in the county I live in and I decided when budget cuts came, that I would quit and take off in a new direction. That is where I am now, school. I am going to school to become a Certified Medical Assistant and I am lucky because with all my military schooling and regular schooling I only have 3 quarters, max to do before I graduate.
I am horrible at writing, but love to do it. So, I am not sure where that leaves me for this class.
I am Joe Janvrin and this is my 4th quarter here at globe. I am going for my aa in accounting. I work at Perkins in Menomonie as a cook. I am close to graduating and when I do I am going to move back down to Florida.
